The End From The Beginning
Isaiah 46:10
“Only I can tell you the future
before it even happens.
Everything I plan will come to
pass, for I do whatever I wish.”
– NLT
It gets very frustrating and overwhelming when we do not know what the future holds or the plan of God for our lives. And this is not because God does not tell us but because we do not seek him enough for him to reveal all we need to know. I had another revelation during a prayer meeting organized by young and hungry adults for God. We usually avail ourselves to be used by the Holy Spirit in whatever way He deems fit. During worship, I saw an angel by the door and that angel had a sheet of paper in his hand. It was a white sheet of paper with nothing written on it and the angel stood there as though he were waiting for instructions to execute a mission. Then I heard a voice whisper, “I KNOW THE END FROM THE BEGINNING”. It was as though a video had been replayed; where the ending of the movie precedes the beginning.
The Beginning
I saw a figure riding a white horse with so much grace and precision from the heavens down to the earth. The horse had no blemish and the ends of its hair had a bit of light, which was very beautiful. The rider of the horse was wearing a white garment that shined brighter than a million stars in the sky.
Rev. 19:11
“ Then I saw heaven opened, and
a white horse was standing there.
Its rider was named Faithful and
True, for he judges fairly and
wages a righteous war.”
– NLT
They came straight to the house where the prayer meeting was being held. Right behind them were a host of angels riding on different horses and they all positioned themselves around the house.
Rev. 19:14
“The armies of heaven, dressed
in the finest of pure white linen,
followed him on white horses.”
– NLT
The rider of this graceful horse got down and as soon as he did, two angels also got down and took their positions at the entrance of the door. The rider who was clothed in white was Jesus because I identified him with the nail marks in his palms and feet.
John 20:27-29,
“Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger
here; see my hands. Reach out your hand
and put it into my side. Stop doubting and
believe. Thomas said to him, “My Lord and
my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you
have seen me, you have believed; blessed are
those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
– NIV
He entered the room and I could literally feel someone open the door when Jesus entered the room we were praying in. But there was one angel who was carrying a heavy bag trudging gently to the room.
The heavy bag represented the cares, worries, burdens and daily petitions of God’s children here on earth, which had been given to the angel to carry to Jesus Christ. This means that whenever we bring our petitions or worries to God, He takes it off us so that we can rest. So what we do not see is that, the angels come to carry all our burdens and petitions to God every time we pray on a daily basis. But when the angels come to carry those burdens, they do not leave us the same but in return give us Gods rest and peace while we wait for the answer.
Matthew 11:28
“Come to Me, all you who labor and
are heavy-laden and overburdened,
and I will cause you to rest. [I will
ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]”
– AMP
When the angel carrying the heavy bag passed by the entrance where the other two angels had been positioned, the loaded bag automatically became a sheet of paper. The Holy Spirit explained to me that, the angels on guard at the entrance represented the gates that lead to Gods throne room while the angel with the loaded bag represents mankind. When we are entering Gods throne room we need to get rid of all our cares and burdens, enter with a clean slate and an open heart. We need to enter Gods presence at peace so we can leave filled with joy and hope. That is why the Psalmist says in
Psalm 100:4
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving
and a thank offering and into His courts
with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him,
bless and affectionately praise His name!”
We come to His presence knowing that he has already answered us and thank Him for all He has done.
This takes me back to the end where I saw an angel holding a sheet of paper and standing in the corner of the room we were praying in. This angel was the same angel carrying the loaded bag but when he enters the presence of God all our burdens and petitions become a sheet of paper. Jesus stood by that angel and all He did was to write the answers of the different prayers and petitions from mankind on that one sheet of paper
Jer. 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,”
declares the Lord, “plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to
give you hope and a future.”
– NIV
Then the voice of the Holy Spirit which I heard initially (I KNOW THE END FROM THE BEGINNING) made much sense to me. We live in a world where everything has become instant or almost immediate and there are countless examples to give; we have our IM’s (Instant messages), instant noodles, and coffee amongst others.
Due to this, our generation has not developed the fruit of the Holy Spirit called PATIENCE. We tend to worry and wallow in our pains and misery thinking that God has forgotten about us but what we do not see is that God is always working behind the scenes for our sake. The process might look long but in Gods eyes it comes at the perfect time. He says in His word that he loves us and cares for us so much that we should cast (throw or direct) all our worries to Him so He takes control of the situation.
1Peter 5:7
Casting the whole of your care
[all your anxieties, all your worries,
all your concerns, once and for all]
on Him, for He cares for you
affectionately and cares about
you watchfully.”
– AMP
Our duty therefore is to wait patiently for him and to trust Him completely in whatever situation we find ourselves. We need to trust Him even when we know things are not working in our favour because He is the one directing our path. Leaning on our own understanding will take us to a point and then we cannot go any longer but when we trust in Him alone our paths are made straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will
show you which path to take.”
– NLT
I know many of us will say, it is easy to say but more difficult when you find yourself in a situation which is overwhelming
Psalm 23:4
“Even when I walk through the
darkest valley, I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me. Your
rod and your staff protect and
comfort me.”
– NLT
Jesus Christ never said it was going to be easy but He said in our darkest and deepest valleys, He is walking close with us so we need not despair. He also did promise us that He would send us a comforter who will teach us and guide us into all truth. This means that as Christians or followers of Christ, we need not forget the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT in our lives each and every day. He is more than willing to help us and He is so real and alive in us more than we can imagine. He is ready to guide you and reveal Gods deepest secrets and plans for your life and for others as well.
John 14:16&26
“And I will ask the Father, and He
will give you another Comforter
(Counselor, Helper, Intercessor,
Advocate, Strengthener, and
Standby), that He may remain with
you forever. 26But the Comforter
(Counselor, Helper, Intercessor,
Advocate, Strengthener, Standby),
the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father
will send in My name [in My place,
to represent Me and act on My behalf],
He will teach you all things. And He
will cause you to recall (will remind
you of, bring to your remembrance)
everything I have told you.”)
God wants to tell you that He is the All-knowing God who knows the end from the beginning. He knows how it will end but then there are times and seasons for which everything will transpire. He needs you to be patient while he takes you on that path because every good thing does not come easy. Our duty as said earlier is not to worry but to REST IN HIM knowing that He has everything under control. I end with the first three stanzas of the song WHEN PEACE LIKE A RIVER (by Horatio G. Spafford, 1873) and some verses below. Please do not read it passively like glancing through a normal book but read it as though the Holy Spirit was speaking to you so that it will continually remain with you. I hope the song and verses outlined below will also speak to you and every situation that you find yourself in just as the Holy Spirit inspired me to share.
GOD LOVES YOU DEARLY AND HE IS IN CONTROL OF THAT SITUATION!
VERSES TO BUILD YOU UP
JOB 8:7 “Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.” – NIV
Matthew 6:25-27 “25 Therefore I tell you, stop being [a]perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the [b]span of his life?” – AMP
Philippians 4:6-7 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus” – NLT
John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”- NLT
Psalm 55:22 “Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.” – NLT
Psalm 56:2-3 “I am constantly hounded by those who slander me, and many are boldly attacking me. But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” – NLT
1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].” – AMP
