I had a dream where my phone was attacked by a virus. I opened my apps and then I realized it was feeding off many wrong things. Things just multiplied on the phone, some vanished and others will just not open. I mean that was a bit frustrating because I left the phone overnight and wondered what could have possibly gone wrong. I woke up and the first thing I asked the Holy Spirit was why that dream? I am always in awe of the way the Holy Spirit draws my attention to very relevant and important things in the simplest way.
This is how He explained it to me. Now the phone represents the church or individuals. The virus represents the things going on in the world or the attacks of the enemy. He said this to me, “Janice did you realize in all of this, the SIM card in the phone was not affected but it was just the apps on the phone? “Did you see that the SIM card was still intact although the phone seemed to be in a hot mess?!” Can I be real with you? Remember this verse in
“He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your
armor and protection.”
Now what is protecting the SIM card from damage? The phone. The phone serves as a covering so although the software or system in the phone is attacked by the virus, the SIM card doesn’t get affected. That’s what God meant in psalms 91:4. His faithful promises are your armour and protection; so in this case the phone. He will cover you with his feathers and shelter you with his wings; the phone. So you will never be harmed; the SIM card.
Isn’t the Holy Spirit just awesome? He reminds us of Gods unending protection despite what goes on around us. Despite the setbacks, despite the disappointments, despite the discouragement, despite the failures, we are still assured of his faithful promises because they are our armour and protection.
Wow! This means that when the negativity comes, His faithful promises never left but they are rather our shield and protection! Hallelujah!
