Discarding the remote for any appliance, would never enable you to enjoy the benefits of that appliance. You can’t have an AC and it’s remote then complain of heat when you do not turn it on. This same analogy applies to your TV unit or even your light switches. If you don’t turn it on, you won’t receive the benefit for which it was made.

We can’t pray just one time and expect that the one-time prayer is all we need. But we need to continually fuel our prayer life in order to develop our relationship with Jesus better and to ward off the devil and his schemes towards our life! Ephesians 6:18

We can’t just press the button of fasting and prayer once and expect things to turn around in our lives but rather be persistent in making sure that we turn it on all the time. It is about looking beyond how you feel and how things look to enforcing what God has said concerning your life! (Philippians 3:14).

It is the continuous pressing of the button of prayer, fasting, faith, joy, studying the word etc that will enable things to work in our life  (James 5:16)! Pressing the button is not for the faint hearted because weakness and weariness will slip in from time to time.

But always remember this walk with Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit isn’t one you do one time, but it is continuous, intentional and about being persistent (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It’s ok to feel tired and unable to continue but remember to press the button of prayer when you grow weary and strength will be made available.
